I was born in a village Chiluvuru in Duggirala mandal of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh located in India.

I obtained Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from Andhra University and then Masters degree from California.

I have spiritual insight and I promote many activities to spread spirituality.  My spiritual journey started after I become a member of Self-realization fellowship founded in 1920 by Paramahansa Yogananda. I like devotional songs very much and have a huge collection of devotional CDs. My favorite devotional songs include Venkateshwara Suprabhatam and Bhagvad Gita.

Myself and my brother Krishna Prasad Katragadda are involved in serving Telugu Community here in USA as well as in India.

I like involving in philanthropic and social service activities.

My major achievement includes inviting Bill Clinton to TANA Conference, 2007 in Washington in an effort to motivate the Telugu youth to get involved into mainstream politics. I have a dream that a person of Telugu origin should become the President of United States and I will make sincere efforts to make my dream come true.

IT foray into villages: I have made a great effort in making government of Andhra Pradesh headed by Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy to launch Rajiv Internet Village program from my village Chiluvuru in Duggirala mandal of Guntur district.

Since my childhood I have a strong love and affection towards my village.  I feel that people should love their motherland and village and they should make whatever little effort they can to contribute for the growth of it.

At present, myself and my brother Krishna Prasad Katragadda are involved in providing services to our village. We have organized a Trust named "Katragadda Charities" and have spent few lakhs of rupees for laying cement roads and also started free medical facility to the villagers. Because of this reason we have earned a place in the hearts of nearly 7000 people living in our village.

About My Profession

Me, Dave Katragadda did Masters in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, a Masters in Industrial and Systems Engineering from University of Alabama in Huntsville and Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from Andhra University, India.

My financial companies invest and do trading in the global markets. I have investments in over a dozen technological companies; several startups consider me as their mentor and consider me as a source of inspiration.

Me, Dave Katragadda is the Founder and President of The Seven Hills Group, a conglomerate with diversified holdings in sectors such as media & entertainment, technology, education, financial services, and healthcare.

The flagship company of the group, Seven Hills Capital Management, is focused on making early and growth stage investments in companies based in India and the US. Its portfolio includes Phat Phish – a media company with subsidiaries in advertising, music, films, TV production and event management, and Novire Technologies, which develops and manufactures GPS enabled tracking devices for the trucking industry.

Before establishing the Seven Hills Group, I have established a track record in equity and options trading on the US stock exchanges, achieving spectacular returns on my initial modest investment. I have utilized my exceptional skills at distilling financial information and price trends to create a portfolio of very high-performing stocks in the technology, finance and energy sectors.

Prior to my fulltime trading career, I have co-founded and ran Smart Software, a fundamental financial data analysis company subsequently acquired by McGraw Hill. Smart Software was a global pioneer in the financial data analysis business and at the time of its inception, only one among four such service providers worldwide.

Me, Dave Katragadda is also the Chairman and Founder of the Katragadda Innovative Trust for Education (KITE), which is in the process of establishing corporate training centers for IT education nationwide in India. The Trust aims to have an impact on engineering education in India through cutting-edge technological education in two engineering colleges, as well as state-of-the-art training for future engineering faculty.

I currently sit on the board of several firms such as [212] MEDIA, a New York City based media & entertainment conglomerate, Bod Vod - a Bollywood and South Asian programming video on demand distribution company, Younan Properties – a real estate investment firm specializing in commercial properties, Trinox Infrastructure and Good Samaritan Hospital, Bakersfield.

I am also the Chairman of the US-Asia Business Forum, a networking and advocacy organization seeking to promote investment between the US and South Asia. I also actively participate in the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) activities.

I have addressed several gatherings of TANA, and have been an honorary speaker at several Democratic meetings. I have also contributed $1 million to the Clinton Global Initiatives fund, and acted as co-sponsor to the event of former U.S. president Bill Clinton delivering the keynote address to Telugu Association of North America’s bi-annual event, TANA 2007.

I have donated generously to causes dear to me such as the Clinton Global Initiatives Fund, Women International and the Hindu Temple located in Bakersfield, California.
